The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has successfully established the first nuclear energy plant in the Arab world.

  • The UAE is a Middle Eastern country located in the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula.

  • The UAE is a federation of seven emirates, each governed by its own ruler. It was established on December 2, 1971, when the seven emirates gained independence and formed a union.

Major Emirates:

  • Abu Dhabi: The capital and largest emirate of the UAE, known for its significant oil reserves and petroleum industry.

  • Dubai: The UAE’s leading business and tourism hub, famous for its skyscrapers like the Burj Khalifa and its status as a commercial center.

  • Sharjah: Known as a cultural and educational center.

  • Ajman: The smallest emirate, with key industries in textiles and construction.

  • Umm Al-Quwain: A smaller emirate primarily dependent on fishing and tourism.

  • Fujairah: The only emirate located on the coast of the Indian Ocean, with main industries in maritime transport and trade.

  • Ras Al-Khaimah: Known for its construction and tourism industries.

Flag of the UAE:

The flag features four colors – red, green, white, and black – representing national unity and the diversity of the emirates.

Geography:

  • Tropic of Cancer: The Tropic of Cancer passes through the UAE, particularly through the Abu Dhabi emirate.

  • Highest Peak: Jebel Jais Mountain.
